How to get my cats to stop sh*tting on the grass?
what makes them do that and what ways can you stop it? i've always had cats and never had this problem until this year. usually they find lose dirt to take a sh*t in but nope, this ones doing it in the grass. i'm talking about grass only, so don't give me advice about when they do it in the garden because it's not doing it there. thanks in advance!
@Mercy no, actually even if i wanted them indoors, my parents won't deal with indoor animals. cats do perfectly fine outside and we take care of them. cats don't belong indoors anymore than they belong outdoors. at least they're getting food and shelter (not the actual house but we have other buildings), instead of being out on the street where they have to wander to find food and such.
maybe you could actually give a relevant answer next time, yeah?

That is unusual as you say they normally find soft earth and bury it. Can only think cat/s are marking the territory, for some reason. You have to make that area undesirable, there are sprays and products to keep cat away from that spot. My cat is an indoor/outdoor cat, it is safe and it is my choice.

Why does a bear sh*t in the woods? I have a cat that does this too; I've never bothered to ask him why.
Maybe your cat just likes the feel of grass. Maybe he can't find any good dirt. Who knows -- he has his own reasons.
The only way to really stop him sh*tting in the grass is to keep him indoors all the time.

Move them indoors where they belong. They're also probably pissing and pooping on your neighbours' lawns and gardens and slaughtering wildlife. You might not care enough about your cats to keep them indoors but shouldn't you care about that?
