IF YOU ARE NOT ON OTHER MEDICATION, then you might consider trying Boswellic Acid (it's an extract from Boswellia Serratta Resin, more commonly known as francincense). Your doctor may know Boswellic Acid by the name '5-Loxin'.
Some folks even use this stuff for spinal pain.
I don't mean using it so the shot doesn't hurt, I mean you might find it is so effective that you perhaps won't need the shot at all.
But PLEASE ask your doctor first, before trying this, and don't take it at all if you are on other medication.
