When I was young I did the same, however as time went on it felt meaningless. These were people I had no intention of ever starting a real relationship. I ended up hurting a few people. It's frowned on because peoples feeling can get trampled, std's, possible unwanted pregnancy, and no matter what you may think what you do affects other people.

The list of STD's is too long to mention here, as are some of the most horrific side effects. To some that may or may not matter?

If so many people seem to do it, they must be hiding it from me. It is frowned upon now (.) because nowadays you don't know what surprises are waiting for you (not like it hasn't been here for ages).
