about Medicare premiums & 2012 deductibles?
I didn't file my 2012 taxes in April & filed for an extension which is due Tuesday, 10/15/2013 and I cannot find my Social Security Benefits Statement. I know how much the net amount for my monthly benefit was but I cannot find out how much the monthly payment was for Medicare premium for part B nor what the annual deduction was. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. I have to bring my data to the tax man on Monday 10 /14/13. Please I have tried the SSA gov website but cannot find 2012 data. They tell you to call Monday thru Fridays. Thanks to anyone who has this info for me.
Thanks for the premium info --don't need hospital info just part B. which is the amount you have to pay yourself to the medical providers before Medicare pays their 80%.
Any Accountants out there who can check 2012 paperwork? Worse comes to worse I'll use the 2013 deductible which is $147 per person.
Thanks to all, I found out that the annual deductible was decreased from $162 to $140 in 2012.
I'll do the math

The Part A deductible paid by beneficiaries when admitted as a hospital inpatient will be $1,156 in 2012
SSA.gov website for more information.
Hope that you find the above enclosed information useful 10/12/2013

There were two different ones depending if you were a new enrollee or continuing beneficiary.
It was $99 for most and $115 for new enrollees. Here is a link to that info.

You will have to estimate and yeah, that's a lousy situation.
The SSA is shut down.
The IRS is shut down.
The problem is, if any of your SSA benefits are taxable, you will need the correct number. If you have to estimate, amend as SOON as you can get the correct info.
