Who really are the true followers of the Christ?

John 18:37

King James Version (KJV)

37Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Note what the Christ says, here:

John 17:17

King James Version (KJV)

17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Update:

@Ford, then explain this:

John 17:20-21

English Standard Version (ESV)

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.

As John 18:37 quotes Jesus saying 'that I should bear witness to the truth'. The same is true today of his followers.

Jehovahs Witnesses are the only religion that bear witness to Jehovah God's Holy Word and like Jesus preach the Good News of God's Kingdom

Neither Christ nor Jesus said that. The Messiah' s name is and was Yeshua. Jesus Christ was a mistranslation of the early catholics. Yeshua's followers are those who truly does as he says to do, not what Paul and the church say to do.

Yeshua instructed his followers to obey God's commandments and law. The torah is fairly easy to follow. He was against the new rabbinic law which is what most jews put above God's word.

He said don't practice and love falsehoods in the end of Revelations. Falsehoods are lies like Christmas and easter. Instead celebrated sukkot and passover.

To follow him means to do as he did, not as the pagans did.

“Your word is truth.” Today, we know that Word as the Holy Bible, and we are wise to check that our beliefs and standards measure up to it. (John 17:17)

By comparing our beliefs with God’s Word, we imitate the people of ancient Beroea, who made sure that Paul’s teachings harmonized with the Scriptures. Rather than criticize the Beroeans, Luke commended them for their attitude. They “received the word with the greatest eagerness of mind,” he wrote, “carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

In view of the contradictory religious and moral teachings that abound today, it is important that we imitate the example of the noble-minded Beroeans.

Those who keep every word of the Bible, not just some. 1 Corinthians 3:22 " Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are your's"

And it doesn't matter what we say Jesus' name is, for it is the NATURE of His name that matters, meaning the nature of who He is, what He did, what He's doing, and what He will do.

We call Jay-Z Jay Hov, Jigga, Jay, and His name is actually Shawn. But it doesn't matter what we call him as long as we are acknowledging that he is who he is. God is the Great I Am. No one word describes Him in totality, and no one knows all of who He is in totality, we only know parts of Him, and we can only name the parts of Him, for now.

True followers of Christ are true believers, those people who accept that God created all things, sent His Son to die in the place of sinful man (taking man's sins upon Himself)and that after dying and being buried He rose from the dead. Believers accept that this was a gift to mankind and that once a person accepts that gift they gain full benefit of it e.g. their sins are forgiven and they will dwell for eternity with Him. Going to church makes no-one a Christian - it just makes them church attendees. Using the word 'Christian' in the title of a church does not make it a Christian church. If a particular church does not follow fully the teaching of Christ they are not true Christians. 'Christian' spiritualists for example disobey God's Word that we must not try to contact the dead - thus ruling themselves out of the title 'Christian'. People are not following Christ if they do the opposite of what He taught.

Thanks for the chuckle ' c '. Toot sweet indeed. I presume you mean Tout de suite - Right away; at once; immediately. You have a great sense of humour.

Those who have trained their ears to hear GOD's truth alone, regardless of what it demands of the hearer, those who don't follow after suggestive whispers of anyone else, including their own. So I would have to conclude.... the willing to confront the reasons for their faith in every aspect.

Well, that eliminates human-based leader cults pretty toot sweet, don't it?

This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister.
