Animal cruelty ? Or not.....?
My house is on sale. A viewer said that the kitchen is so small "you couldn't swing a cat round in it". What did he mean. Should I call the R.S.P.C.A.?
I have borrowed a Manx cat, from my neighbour, and swung it round, the kitchen is massive. What's he talking about?

Lol definately not. Its just an old commonly used saying whinch means there was next to no room in the kitchen. It does not mean that this person intends to swing a cat or has any experience of doing that. People who commit animal cruelty acts dont go around advertising what they do as it is illegal and generally frowned up in society

This is a figure of speech that people in Britain use often. It just means that your kitchen is kind of on the small size. You don't need to call the RSPCA - this man wasn't looking for a house that he could throw his cat around in.

Ummm... No... He was useing a figure of speech. I'm pretty sure he wasn't planning on swinging around cats in your kitchen. Think a bit before considering calling the RSPCA.

It's an old saying, don't take it literally, people have been using the saying for years. He isn't buying your house to swing a cat around.
