Why don't abortion "buffer zones" apply equally to men who elect financial abortion...?

...aka "deadbeat dads?"

Shouldn't these men (and women!) have the same right to freedom from verbal and physical harassment enjoyed by women undergoing medical abortions? What they do is not nearly as bad as killing a child, after all.

Thats not an alternative to abortion. Abortion=NO kid. Financial Abortion=Kid is still there and you walking away doesn't make the kid any less alive and in need of care. It's sort of like sticking your head in the sand and pretending something doesn't exist. It's still there. This is why men cant and dont have their own version of abortion. Physically its impossible. Even people who give up their kids for adoption can not entirely run from the fact which is why they sometimes get tracked down later in life.

An abortion means there is, by definition, no child in the picture. Nothing you can do or say will affect a child, because no child exists.

A parent who abandons an existing child is effecting them emotionally by their abandonment and materially by not taking a share in the costs of raising a child.

The two situations are completely dissimilar.

That's another huge gender inequality being overlooked by society.
