Just an hour ago, you said you were a show breeder, and stated that this dog was only interested in his *first love* which was spayed 2 years ago. You also stated that you've never heard of such a thing, and neither has your Vet. You my dear, are NOT a show breeder, and the Vet you go to is a quack. Just for the record, this said dog *may* have Sired litters before, but he is NOT a Sire when it comes to the question you're asking. He would ONLY be Sire if he DID breed this b*tch (or AI) and live puppies were produced. There's no need to BS around the bush. You ARE a BYB, and nobody here is going to help you. If you're so damn desperate, why are you asking this question here, instead of getting a progesterone test to see if she's too late to AI? Oh, I got it now. You don't want to spend any money. You want to make it, and using a intact dog that lives with you also means you don't have to pay for a stud fee OR sign a stud contract......or maybe no other stud dog owner would allow you to use their dog's sperm, because you have a crappy bred b*tch to begin with.

Add: That's what I just said. He may have Sired/produced live pups with other b*tches, but he hasn't with this one. He would not be a SIRE to any puppies from this breeding, because this breeding hasn't taken place. He is ONLY a Sire to any litter, if he's Fathered that litter. Until he FATHER'S a litter, which in this case hasn't happened, he'd just be called the STUD dog you're using in HOPES that he'd be the Sire to a litter from this particular b*tch.

You're right. Not every breeder knows everything. That's proven 200 times a day on this site, and you just proved it by being the 201st. When there's a breeding question, you should be contacting the breeder that has mentored you. But then again, you don't have a mentor because you're NOT a show breeder, which you have also proved. In your other question, I noticed that you gave Jen BA, and she deserved it. You also said you'll just have to learn how to AI. Good luck with that one too. Sorry, but I'm not about to help you, It is so painfully clear you are a BYB. "Not every dog breeder knows everything" Um, No, they don't, but every responsible breeder has quite a bit of knowledge. My parents breed Champion Labs, they studied the Lab and breeding for years before even considering it, and they have a mentor. Stop making excuses and get your dogs fixed. Your vet must be half brained if they never heard of a dog refusing to breed, because there are multiple possibilities. You are just making excuses. Typical BYB

It just doesn't want to. Unlike you it realizes there's so many dogs and puppies put down in shelters every year. And unlike you it thinks that the fact it isn't registered, or if it is, certainly isn't a show quality, genetically tested dog is why it shouldn't be bred.

Yes. My boy won't do it naturally and neither would his sire. All litters produced from them are AI.

I would suggest going over to digester.com b/c majority of people here will scold you for any questions regarding breeding. They are more "civil" there.
