How long to wash silk clothing?

How long should you both hand wash and machine wash silk?

    Get them in the sud, use a bar of soap, with water, move them around in a small tub or bucket, I use a hospital pan, for small quantity large enough for 1 shirt, several undies. Rinse well. Repeat. Shouldn't take more than 5 mins.

    Only Hand wash. Soak in Shampoo (its mild than laundry detergent) for 10 min and rinse 3 to 4 times, air dry it. Iron it neatly and store.
