    1. If your iron has the silk setting, set it to that setting. If not, use the lowest setting possible and lots of steam.

    2. Hang the article of silk clothing in the bathroom while you take a hot shower to ensure it is damp, or plan to iron it when it is freshly laundered and still damp.

    3. Lay the silk garment inside out on an ironing board. Instead of using the typical ironing technique, try pressing instead. To further protect the fabric from damage, you can place an old cotton cloth or aluminum foil over the wrinkled area and then iron it. The old cloth or foil will act as the shield and prevent direct contact of silk with the iron.Keep the iron moving fast; lingering on a single area may scorch the fabric.

    4. Dry the garment on the ironing board and hang it up gently on a hanger when completed.

    Don't!!!!!! Irons will burn through silk!!! Just try and light steam!
