Anxiety, how has it effected you?

I'm curious to know because I've got constant chest pain which spreads to arms legs, well everywhere...

Yesterday I was convinced I was having a heart attack so I got an ambulance, better to be safe than sorry but anyway I got an ECG done in the back, BP etc and I was fine.

I'm finding it hard to sleep at night without jolting awake because my heart goes crazy and I panic.

So what is your experience of anxiety and how long did it last for?

My heart feels like it is going to pop out of my chest because I have increase heart race. Also, I get very hot. I always feel sick to my stomach, can't sleep, urinate all the time, eat, and cry. I have really, really bad anxiety all the time.

Not had a girlfriend in years

Was dependant on sleep medication for my waking hours (yes, waking)

    Terrible insomnia

Feelings of derealisation; like I feel as if I'm no longer in reality when the anxiety gets too much to handle

Sore upper body muscles due to constant tension

    Alcohol, painkiller and cannabis misuse

    Poor confidence

Poor concentration, really held me back in college

I have social anxiety as well as PTSD; although, the PTSD has faded over the years although as everyone keeps telling me, it will never be over, PTSD is for life, there is no cure. (Don't mean to depress anyone)

I manage to make a good life for myself somehow :)

    Nathan,

Anxiety used to create many knots in my neck and back.

There is a meditation method that worked for me, and I hope can work for you. It will dissolve anxiety over time because it snuffs out the fear of life, which causes anxiety.

All the info you'll need is at justonelook.org.

    best of luck,

    David

When it is at it's worst I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack. It lasts for as long as the anxiety producing thing is around me.

I'm still having it, I'm getting anxious with everything, I don't know if it's caused by my recent HPV vaccination 2nd dose, my panic attack I had after it, or me just staying on the laptop for 3 years 9 hours straight every day.
