Why does my pinky toe lean on my fourth toe?

All my life (well, at least since I've noticed - which was around 10 years ago), I've noticed that my pinky toe (on both feet) leans on my fourth toe. I separate them, but once I stop flexing those muscles, my pinky toe goes back to lying on my fourth toe. Is there a name/explanation for this or is it just another quirk that my body has?

And before anyone asks, no, I don't wear tight shoes. In fact, I am almost always wearing flip flops.

Most peoples toes lean against the toe next door, all my toes are like that. No problem.............

Mine does too! It always pops back, no matter how hard I try to move it straight :(
