What dog is your favorite movie dog?
Of all the dogs in all the movies, which is your favorite? Mine has to be "Sam" in "I Am Legend." First, she is a GSD,my favorite breed, and then she loses her life when she is bitten while saving Will Smith from the zombie dogs. SO SAD!!! Also love Lassie, Hooch and Jerry Lee.
Oh,I forgot about those ones. Hachiko reminds me of my old Maggie ( profile pic dog). Most dog movies are sad.

I like Dug from the Disney/Pixar movie UP. My dog, Harley, is like Dug in real life.
I also liked Chance from the remake of Homeward Bound. Where he was an American bulldog/boxer mutt.
I like the original story of Hachiko, not the Americanized movie (seriously, its a Japanese breed of dog, why is everyone in the movie white?). Hachiko has a statue by the train station in japan where he waited for his master every day.

I like so many! :)
Turner & Hooch. Hooch was a French Mastiff.
See Spot Run.Spot is a Bullmastiff.
Red Dog. Red Dog was a red Australian Kelpie.
Snow Dogs. There were a lot of dogs in this one, mainly Huskies. I liked Nana the Border Collie though.
I can easily name so many more.too! but I wont because I would be typing up way too much lol

A Dog of Flanders and Hachiko: A Dog's Tale are good ones, but they're sad. Both stories of loyal dogs.

Obviously it has to be Max, the Tibetan Mastiff from Man's Best Friend. Crappy movie, gorgeous dog! I'm just glad it never got that popular so everyone didn't run out and get a TM.

Partial to Jack Russell's I'd have to say Eddie on Frasier. But with a caveat: Most JR's are not as docile and laid back, like a wound spring just waiting to go off. High energy and aggressive but funny all day long, if you have the patience to give them their way, or at least make it seem so to them.

My all time favorite dog movie is "Where the Red Fern Grows". That movie always makes me teary eyed every time I watch it. The Ozark Mountains, which is the actual setting of the movie, is actually where some of my family still lives at today.
