What is wrong with raw feeding?

Okay for the people that raw feed their dogs and cats: What are any true problems with it? I know kibble is bad, so I started raw feeding my cat and my whole family is freaking out. I don't want to hurt my cat or her health, but how is raw feeding frowned upon when kibble is just meat by products with supplements in it?

Don't answer this question if you don't know what you're talking about.

Update:

The point is kibble is processed. I know how to read ingredients. It doesn't matter if meat by products are the first ingredient or the sixth ingredient, it's processed and unnatural. I didn't ask this question to be badgered and criticized. I asked it to get information.

Nothing is wrong with raw feeding other then making sure the cat/dog is fed properly and added minerals/vitamins are included. You can't just give the meat alone.

We feed only canned (high quality) and I grind up chicken thighs/breasts and stew beef together for the raw. I freeze portions and thaw out in fridge in 2 days as needed. However, before they get this, I add in Kitty Bloom vitamins/minerals which is properly measured for exactly what they need - including calcium and taurine.

You assume kibble is just meat by-products. Unless you know what you are talking about don't point fingers at other people. Go to the pet supply store and learn to read the ingredients in the bags of kibble. They are listed in the order of importance with the item that is in the product the most in first place and the item in the product the least in last place.

You don't want a product that says water, by-products, or grains in the first four spots.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with feeding a high quality premium kibble cat food.

Nothing is wrong with high quality kibble, but we're not talking Meow Mix here. If you want to give your cat kibble, look for something that doesn't have grain in it, but don't expect it to be cheap.

Grain is junk food for cats; it will make them put on weight horribly, and you don't want to have to put your cat on a perpetual diet.

Jasmine gets all the grain-free kibble she can eat, and 1/3 of a can of cat food on demand, and she only gains weight because she's growing, not fat. And she DEFINITELY had a weight problem when we got her.

Kibble is not all bad. I feed my dog high quality kibble and some wet food. Feeding kibble is effective for me because I have lots of different family members feeding so I can ensure he is getting what he is supposed to. Feeding raw is fine you just have to do your research to ensure your cat is getting all the nutrients she needs. I don't have the time to commit to that so I dont feed raw. Also I don't want my dog tracking any bacteria from raw meat around my house.
