healing from infection from my cat bite?
I was wondering if anyone had gotten an infection from getting bit by a cat. I was put on antibiotics by my doctor, and I just wanted to know how many days it took you to recover? Also, was there anything specific that you did to speed up the process? Thank you

I was bitten by a cat on my wrist several years ago. I had to keep my hand above my heart for 2 weeks, because the doctor was worried the bite might have pierced a tendon sheath. I actually had to take time off work. I think I might have taken some vitamin C or something like that just to aid the body's healing process in general. Once the wound was mostly healed I would rub it with vitamin E and Aloe frequently to try to minimize the scarring
My doctor explained at the time that a cat's bite is one of the dirtiest animal bites you can get, so be sure to take all the antibiotics the doctor gives you
