Personality with music?

Im tired of being scared to play my acoustic guitar in front of my friends and family. I know I can play well and feel like I could play in front of people but when the time comes I don't even have the courage to play for my grandmother. Not joking. I wait until everyone is gone before I jam and practice. And when I do play for people I'm really boring about it but I have so much personality I can put into playing music. Example: standing up instead of hiding in a chair, skipping songs to get it over with.. You can pass a lot of positive energy to people if you yourself, are happy and energetic, if that person was me I would not be asking this.

The questions:

How can I find courage to play in front of friends and family?

How can I enjoy playing in front of friends and family so that I can be less "meh whatever"?

How to be less awkward uncomfortable and scared to play when I am not alone?

This is something that won't just come to you overnight. First, start with playing when you know someone else is in the house (even if you're not in the same room.) Then slowly start to play in front of people, even if you are faking the confidence at first, eventually it will come naturally. It's like tricking your brain. Also, don't ever turn down a request! Avoiding situations that make someone nervous only makes it worse the next time and the time after. Just keep going until you suddenly realize that you're able to play with all the emotion you wanted the people around you to hear. Good luck!
