Which Name Is Your Favourite?

I'm having trouble deciding on a name for the male love interest in my book.

I've narrowed it down to:

Dustin

Ian

Asher

If it helps, here is a little bit about the character:

Personality - Funny (he likes to lighten tense situations with humour), unpredictable, reckless, protective, tends to solve problems with violence and physical confrontation, flirtatious, and confident (at times arrogant).

Description - Shaggy dark brown hair, kind of 'rugged' in appearance, brownish-green eyes, occasionally wears leather bracelets and a chain necklace.

Thanks for the help :)

I don't think Asher fits the description although I do like the name. I feel like Ian may be used more (basing this on absolutely no proof) so I would go with Dustin! Also I knew a Dustin once that sounds pretty much exactly like that ha weird..

Seeing as names do not match personalities, this really should be up to the writer, not strangers on the internet who will never read this.

I believe any of these names would work. The name Asher makes me think of a funny person like in the description, but I don't see that name as a violent type. The name Ian I can think of as the tough strong slightly violent type, but I don't think it suits the funny side. And lastly the name Dustin (my favorite, by the way) makes me think the person is goofy/funny/silly but then I can also see the flirtatious side of him as well. I think that's my personal favorite because I see all the different traits for his personality in his name. Have you ever noticed that people with the same name tend to act kind of alike? Like those named Nicole tend to be outgoing and creative, while those named Tyler tend to be sporty and arrogant, then those named Amanda tend to be more quiet and insecure. (This may not apply to everyone, this is just on my observation). I hoped this helped. If I were you out of the names you've picked I'd go with Dustin.

    My vote goes to Ian.
