Looking for some horse name ideas?
Looking for some horse name ideas. I m part of an equine rescue group and I want to compile a large list of names since we always have horses coming in, many of which we don t have any information on (including a name).
I already have lots of name ideas for mares, so I mostly want gelding name ideas.
I DON T like "silly" and/or "punny" names. I like one word names. Simple and easy to pronounce, but unique.
I really like names that have a meaning.
Here are some names I already have, so you have a sense of what style I like:
- Rogue
- Silas (means "of the forest")
- Ronen (means "joy")
- Kozar
- Ajax
- Axel (means "peaceful)
- Griffen
- Soren
- Kodiak
- Quantum
- Argo (means "swift")
- Titan
- Atlas
3 AnswersHorses4 years agoAnnoying Male Protagonists?
I m caught up in a discussion with someone. They ve basically claimed that when male characters in books are portrayed as whiny it s because they have a good reason, but when female characters are whiny it just because they re a woman. Naturally, this angered me.
I need a list of male characters that are annoying/whiny. However, when I begin a book with an annoying lead (be it male or female), I usually give up after a few chapters and be done with it, so I don t really have a good base to go from.
So, who are some annoying male characters from novels? Also, know any female characters that were whiny/annoying, but had a good reason for it?
6 AnswersBooks & Authors5 years agoBaby boy name ideas?
My aunt recently found at that she is having a baby boy! She asked me if I wanted to give her some name suggestions. She wants something that is unique, not a name that you hear everywhere. Yet she doesn t want anything over the top strange.
The surname is Bellamy, if that helps.
Some names already on the list:
• Keaton
• Kian
• Everett
Thanks in advance!

What are some online stores that have affordable, decent quality clothing? Also, what are your opinions on Charlotte Russe? I've never bought anything from them and I've heard some mixed reviews.
Thanks :)
2 AnswersFashion & Accessories5 years agoHelp coming up with a horse name?
I have reccently rescued a palomino filly. At the moment she is very skinny and beat up, but quite sweet. She looks to be a Quarter horse Arabian cross. I m looking for a one word name. Preferably something simple, unique, and pretty. Please don t make any silly suggestions and I don t want anything that s really common. I don t generally like "human" names for horses, but that s not really set in stone.
Also, I was thinking maybe Athena or Epona. What are your opinions on those names?
Thanks in advance :)
3 AnswersHorses5 years agoHelp me choose a name?
I can't decide on a name for a character. She is a very important character. Also, it's a science fiction which is why none of the names are very modern.
Description: Dark brown hair and bright green eyes. She is of average height with a slim, athletic figure. She has burn scars all up both arms and scars across her back.
- Rhea
- Venus
- Lyra
- Gia
16 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoLegends and Lore about the sea?
So I'm writing a short story for my Writing class in school where we have to twist a legend and incorporate it into out story. My book is about pirates, but I'm having trouble finding any good legends to use (all that comes up is Pirates of the Carribean, but I don't want to do anything like that/copy that). The legend doesn't have to specifically be about pirates, just about the sea. I don't really want anything to do with creatures (mermaids, sirens, krakens etc)
I want something more along the lines of Fiddler's Green or Davy Jones's Locker. Legends, I guess.
Thanks to anyone who helps :)
2 AnswersMythology & Folklore6 years agoHelp deciding on a title?
So I'm writing a book, but I can't decide on a title. I'm not going to post the summary because, let's face it, people steal those. However, I will tell you this:
• It's about witches; the main character is one
• It has a very dark mood
• The MC is an anti-hero. The book is focused a lot on the dark magic that she begins using during the book.
• There are vampires, but fear not because they do not sparkle is the sunlight. They are vampires like those from the original myths: no humanity, can only come out at night, hideous monsters, and drink human blood.
Here are my title ideas:
- Tenebrae
- The Shadow Walker
- Dare Me To Die
- The Art Of Darkness
Which is your favourite? Which oneso you find the most intriguing? I would love to hear your opinions and thanks in advance to anyone who helps :)
3 AnswersBooks & Authors6 years agoShould I get my belly button pierced?
I'm sixteen years old and I want to know if I should get my belly button pierced. I've loved them since I learned what they were, but I didn't want to get one when I was too young. The only problem is that I'm afraid of what people will think as belly button piercings seem to be make people think of sluts. I don't want to be thought of in that way. I wouldn't go around wearing crop tops all the time and the only time anyone would see it would be when I'm in my bikini.
Also, if one day I decided to take it out, would it leave an ugly scar? Or would it be barely noticeable?
4 AnswersOther - Skin & Body7 years agoWhich Name Is Your Favourite?
I'm having trouble deciding on a name for the male love interest in my book.
I've narrowed it down to:
Dustin
Ian
Asher
If it helps, here is a little bit about the character:
Personality - Funny (he likes to lighten tense situations with humour), unpredictable, reckless, protective, tends to solve problems with violence and physical confrontation, flirtatious, and confident (at times arrogant).
Description - Shaggy dark brown hair, kind of 'rugged' in appearance, brownish-green eyes, occasionally wears leather bracelets and a chain necklace.
Thanks for the help :)
4 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoWhich Title Is Your Favourite?
So, I can't decide on a title for the book I'm writing. (Please don't tell me that I should write the book first then decide on a title. I like to have a title when writing a book and if I change it when I'm done then it's no big deal).
Since I don't feel comfortable posting the summaries to my books on here, I am going to ask you this: which of these titles would make you want to pick a book up off the shelf?
1. Pale Moonlight
2. Such A Beautiful Massacre
3. Under A Red Moon
Thanks in advance :)
6 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoWhich Name Do You Prefer?
Okay, so I'm writing a novel. It's a fantasy set it the real world and it has witches, vampires (evil ones, not good), and werewolves. I am having trouble deciding on a name for the protagonist. She is a werewolf.
I've narrowed it down to:
- Evangelina (Evan/Lina as nicknames)
- Aspen
- Oakley
- Marley
She has dirty blonde hair and icy blue eyes. Her brothers name is going to be Jasper.
Which name should I choose?
9 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoGood Shopping Sites For Teens?
So I'm doing some online shopping. I am mostly looking for tops, dresses, and boots. I need some good sites to browse.
I love Hot Topic clothing so I want some sites with styles similar to theirs, but more affordable as Hot Topic has ridiculous shipping costs for us Canadians.
For those who don't know, Hot Topic has rather edgy but feminine clothes that vary from sexy, flirty, and fun to dark and gothic.

3 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoWhich Title Do You Like Best?
I am almost done writing my book!
The book has a very eerie and dark atmosphere and I want the title to reflect that. The main character (Tamsyn) begins as very sweet person but by the end of the book she is deranged and twisted.
The general plot of the book is about Tamsyn's journey into joining a dark coven of witches and how the Black Magic takes over. It is also about the war between witches & vampires, as well as the history of witches & vampires. Before you panic, the vampires in my novel are not brooding heartthrobs; they are hideous and sadistic monsters. I have done tons of research to make my vampires and witches true to the original legends.
Here are my title ideas, but they all seem too immature.
1. Welcome To The Land Of The Crazy
2. Such A Beautiful Massacre
3. Drowning In Death
4. The River In Reverse
Which is your favourite? Do you have other suggestions for a title?
3 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoList Of Supernatural Creatures?
I am writing a book about witches, however, I would like to include other humanoid supernatural/mythical creatures as well. The problem is that I want to avoid the steriotypes/cliché (werewolves, vampires, ghosts, fairies ect.). Basically, I am looking for unique humanoid creatures that could be included in a book about witches.
P.S: I am not religious and I will not include any religious aspects into my novel. The witches in my book are not servants or the devil and I do not want to include Angels or Demons in my book.
Thank you :)

I am writing a book about witches, but I would like to include more (humanoid) supernatural creatures. Also, I want to stay away from the clichés (werewolves, vampires, fairies ect.) as I know witches are rather overused as it is. Anyone have any interesting ideas?

6 AnswersMythology & Folklore7 years agoAny Good Character Name Ideas?
I need some name ideas for a seventeen year old witch in the book I am writing. Her parents are very old fashioned so I want a name that is unique (not to the extreme) and propre but has a cute nickname. Either that or maybe something to do with nature.
The character is a brunette girl with wavy, light brown hair and hazel eyes. I don't know if thats helpful or not.
Thanks! :)
8 AnswersBooks & Authors7 years agoCan't Choose A Name For My Character?
My book is set in a post-apocalyptic future where is is essentially anarchy. I need help on choosing a name for the protagonists younger sister. Here's a little about the character:
Physical Description: She has long, softly curled golden blonde hair. Her eyes are light blue and her skin is pale. She has high cheek bones and delicate facial features. She's nine years old.
Personality: She seems like a bright light in an otherwise dark world. She is intelligent, optimistic, and kind. She cares about everyone and everything. She is soft-spoken, shy, and is easily frightened.
These are my name ideas: Emory, Tesla, or Jana.
Which one do you think suits my character best?
