Can a hawk or falcon kill a 10 lb cat?

Update:

I don't necessarily want to know whether they eat cats but do they kill them for whatever reason? How common is it?

They are too small to take a cat - but they could easily carry off a kitten. A large owl would take a cat - they take full grown rabbits, and cats are the same size.

Hawks, nor falcons kill at random, they kill to eat and feed young. No, they do not kill, nor eat cats, they are too big and heavy for hollow boned birds. I have however, seen a Bald Eagle take a full grown cat out of a back yard. I've also seen a bald eagle drop a full grown rabbit.

I still wouldn't want a hawk to swoop down and try. There Toes/claws are like razor blades and will split a cats back wide open.
