How to get rid of cat urine smell?

In addition to the other good answers, some people swear by using mouthwash to eliminate cat urine odors. If all else fails, I'd probably try the brown Listerine. That is made from a combination of water, alcohol and essential oils which may help soak in, dissolve and neutralize the odors. But I would only try that if the commercial products and baking soda don't get the job done.

You will need to use a neutralizer especially for pet urine. The best one ive found and have used myself is called Natures Miracle. Your best bet is to use a black light to find where the urine is exactly. The urine will glow a very bright fluorescent green-yellow color. Saturate the spots with the neutralizer and let it soak up. Then clean the area thoroughly afterward. If the urine in in the carpet, you will have to really soak up the area as the urine has most likely gone through the padding. Luckily they carry this solution in gallon sized bottles! Hope this helps, i know it has for me!!

Purchase a black light and urine removing agent combo kit from the pet store. At night, urine will glow when viewed with a blacklight, and that is where you have to clean thoroughly. Cats will continue to eliminate in the same spot otherwise, so a solution specifically designed for pet urine is your best hope in removing the smell. ^_^

try to use baking soda sprinkle on floor where smell comes from and leave it for 1 night, then vaccum it and smell should be reduce then. if its still smells badly then repeat baking soda again.
