Why kind of mental disorder do I have?

Why kind of mental disorder do I have?

Im pretty sure I have a bipolar disorder...but I never got diagnosed with it. My mood switches very rapidly. One minute I can be calm, and suddenly I can be yelling and screaming on top of my lungs. And then I can all happy again. It's usually over something small. I also go through these periods where I feel very depressed. It can be for months or days or hours. But for a month now I've been hearing voices. Most of the time it's very negative voice calling me horrible names. I feel like I'm slipping away from reality some times. I feel like I'm caving in to the voices.

Mood swings are not the same as bipolar. Bipolar is mania for a few weeks to months where you feel like you're on cocaine all the time and feel great and hyepractive, but your mood never changes constantly during that manic episode it remains 1 mood.

Then theres a depressed period where you feel like total **** for a few weeks to months.

About the voices thing, that might have something to do with schizophrenia and should get checked out. Are you sure its' an actual voice though or just negative thoughts? The context you put it in makes me wonder if you just mean negative thoughts and depressed feelings. The voices from schizophrenia come from the walls and can be heard like there is a person next to you, they aren't just thoughts.

not bipolar. there's no psychotic component to it other than in episodes of mania.

besides, even with bipolar ii that is rapid cycling, its still days or weeks between happy and said. not that rapid as you described. bipolar actually requires at least one depressive episode lasting over a week and one manic episode that lasts over a week. mania is a unique situation that you're like hyper but you cannot sleep for days at a time. it is not insomnia, you are that overloaded with energy. manic behaviors include recklessness, impulsive behaviors, rashness, desire to risky or dangerous behavior, abundance of energy. hypomania has forced speech symptom...

i'm not an expert in bipolar since i don't have it. but i know a few things having researched it a while ago trying to figure out what's wrong with me.

    you might be schizoaffective.

schizo refers to schizophrenic experiences like delusions and hallucinations,

affective refers to mood disorder just like you described.

go see a psychiatrist for a proper diagnosis and treatment. bring your guesses with you, and bring up the possibility it might be schizoaffective.

I'm sorry as far as I know you don't really fit any thing. You irregular mood sounds like boarderline personality disorder but there is so much more to it then that. So I doubt you have it. Only Hallucinations? that you recognise as hallucinations so no delusion? never been a thing. You can have dellsuions by themselves or hallucination with delusions but not hallucinations by themselves that you recognise as an hallucination.

*my guess is you are either a wanna be or you have general anxiety disorder, they tend to be hypochondriacs and think they have all sorts of disorders.

Go see someone about it. Can't really make an analysis without interviewing thoroughly.
