How popular is older anime from the 70s-90s with younger fans?
Every anime fan might check out Cowboy Beebop, Akira, Studio Ghibli films or DBZ etc. just for their 'classic' status. But how many people under the age of 22 watch and enjoy anime from the 70s-90s?

I do. I'm around 18 to 19 years old, and I've watched old anime like Sailor Moon, Dragonball, G Gundam, and some other older Gundam animes. Some of them were shown on Cartoon Network/Toonami back then.
And I love Studio Ghibli. I haven't seen some of the ones like Ponyo, but I've watched My Neighbor Totoro and Howl's Moving Castle. The animation is smooth as silk, and I love that. I've also seen Akira, though that was recent when it aired on Toonami.
Sometimes, though, I can't bear the old, grainy look of some anime, not to mention some of the animation fails that you can see every now and then (like two right hands, eyes in the wrong place, lack of a nose/mouth, etc) but that just adds to the experience, not to mention if a fail is too stupid that its funny and you can't help but pause the frame and laugh like a little schoolgirl.
