can i reset my maint. indicator from 5 months, 5000 miles; to another setting?

Update:

i have a 2006 toyota camry le; with the 4 cal. engine. i would like to reset the maint. indicator for a 6 months/ 7500 mile oil change interval. the factory settings are 5 months/ 5000 miles. that,s too soon for synthetic oil. my trusted local mechanic said those settings are changeable.

    They probably are changeable but probably through a computer hookup.
