What if the so-called GOD is the one who destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha. Would you consider Him to be unmerciful?

Hell no!! He was merciful. He, however, did not find ten people who were worth saving. In the end, there were only 3 who were saved, Lot and his two daughters. Warnings were given. Just as He has done ever since. Warnings were given by Noah as he built the ark. The people at the time refused to repent. Had they repented, the flood would not have happened. The same can be said for the Egyptians. There were warned with none plagues. All pharaoh had to do is let Israel go into the desert for three days. That was it. He refused. Time and time again he refused. A just God must punish at a certain point. Otherwise, He is trying to be a friend.

No, because He sent agents (angels) through the cities looking for 10 decent people, and they could not find even 10! They found Lot and his wife and two of his four daughters-out of 2 cities-and that was IT. The rest of the inhabitants of Sodom-including Lot's sons-in-law-demanded that Lot's guests (the angels) be handed over to them as rape toys. When Lot (the 'righteous' man) offered the rape gang his 2 virgin daughters instead of his guests as rape toys (!) the crowd became enraged because Lot was being 'judgmental' and threatened to abuse Lot and his entire household.

Some thanks this was, considering that the entire city-Lot included-had been overrun 20+ years earlier by an enemy king, and Lot's uncle Abraham had come to their rescue and liberated them.

Lot-the 'righteous' man in the city of Sodom-and his wife and 2 daughters were forcibly removed from the city (by the angels) so they would not die. God then destroyed the cities filled with rape gangs with 'fire from the heavens' (quite possibly a meteorite strike).

IDK about you, but I think that any rape gang that is willing to knock down doors and abuse/kill an entire family and its guests SHOULD be destroyed. I think that 'mercy' here was shown to the people who had survived Sodom and come out alive, as well as anybody already on their way TO Sodom on business. After all, the angels were able to defend themselves from the rape gang, but "the outcry against the cities" was "great", prompting the investigation. Apparently, some people did not fare so well in Sodom as did the angels.

Who would you have mercy on: the rape gang, or the victims?

you know there is a story that if just 50 righteous people where in the cities that they would not have been destroyed it was even went down to 10 righteous people but at last there was not found even 10 righteous people in the both cities to save it. God sent down two angels to see if what he heard of the city was true and found it to be true so he destroyed it. he saved lot his wife and two daughters I say the lord was merciful to them and would have keep his word to Abraham if just 10 people were found righteous in the cities. read about it in Genesis 18:16-19:29. Thanks for the question friend. God bless.

You mean the city in which the residents gathered around a house and demanded that two visitors be handed over to them to be gang-raped?

No, I don't consider GOD's judgment on them to be unmerciful. Why would you?

No, they made a choice to go against God's law and they paid the consequences.

Have you ever noticed that "god" just keeps trying to find excuses to kill people, "as a lesson" to others?

Have you also noticed how all these lessons somehow keep failing?

The A;mighty YHVH is righteous and just, His ways are eternal, we are too busy worrying about the here and now.

God is usually more merciful to the victims of such wickedness.

    IT was plate tectonics.

God is ruthless, he wiped out everyone but Noah and his family but isn't treated like Stalin or Hitler.
