My new cat tested positive for roundworm, how to protect my other cat and myself?

I have a litter maid litterbox that cleans the litter automatically. The poop sits in a covered area off to the side. Should I clean this out? Should I replace the entire litter (which I hope I don't have to do because that kind of litter is expensive)? Do I need to spray the box with anything?

I would treat your existing cat with pyrantel to eliminate any roundworms. If you have scooping litter, scoop daily.

Nope, don't treat the box. But repeat the pyrantel in 10 days to 2 weeks on both cats to kill the eggs that may have hatched.
