  • My indoor cat disappeared and has been missing for 2 days?

The night before last was the last time I saw my cat. I'm not sure if she got outside, because I didn't see her escape, but I've searched my whole house and can't find her. She's an indoor-only cat, and has never gone outside before, although she always looked outside curiously when I opened the door. I left food on the porch, and searched around my house and my neighbor's houses, but I've seen no sign of her. What can I do to find her?

  • My cat disappeared?

I have no idea where my cat is. The last time I saw her was last night. Normally in the mornings, she comes to get fed, but this morning she didn t. I searched the whole house for her, and left food outside in case she somehow got out. She was born feral, and is still a little bit spastic. Where could she possibly be, and how should I go about finding her?

  • How to repair wood floors where wall is being removed?

I'm removing some walls in a house I just bought, and the rooms on either side of the wall both have wood floors. Once the wall is out, how do I repair the wood floors where the wall once stood? Do I have to cut small pieces of wood the size of the gap, and fit them in there? How do I make them look continuous with the rest of the floor?

  • How to repair wall where plaster AND lath are damaged?

I recently bought an old house that had some vandalism, and the thieves had stolen the copper by breaking through a plaster and lath wall. What would be the best way to repair this? Should I go back with 2 layers of drywall (the 2nd layer being there to shim it out in place of the lath). Or should I replace the lath, and go back with plaster, or drywall?

  • How do I ask a girl out on a date?

I have never had much luck with dating. When I was younger, I was extremely awkward, and I got rejected a lot. I've gotten over my awkwardness for the most part, but I still don't know how to ask a girl out on a date. Today I tried with a girl I was talking and joking around with, and obviously said the wrong thing because the girl didn't say anything. Any advice?

  • How to ask out a cashier at a grocery store?

I was checking out today at the supermarket and started talking to the person in front of me, and the cashier as well. She commented that she loves the hummus that I get, and we were joking around. The guy in front of me made some comment like, you guys have a lot in common you guys should go eat hummus together or something. She blushed, and I started to notice she was actually pretty cute. I wanted to ask her out, but I wasn't sure how (never been very good at that). I said something stupid like, if you ever want to go on that hummus date, I'd be open to it. She didn't say anything, which I took as a no. What could I have done differently? It seemed like we had some chemistry, but I just screwed it up on the execution.

  • Renovating a 2-family home to a single. Should I make it a 2-bedroom, or 3?

I recently bought a 2-family house that I want to renovate into a single. I am taking out some walls, and trying to decide how I should lay it out. Right now the house has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath downstairs, and the same upstairs. I want to take out a wall to one of the bedrooms downstairs and enlarge the living room, but keep the small bedroom on the 1st floor. I also want to take out the same wall upstairs and make 1 large master bedroom. I m trying to decide if I should keep that small 2nd bedroom upstairs or enlarge the bathroom/make it a closet for the master bedroom. If I took it out, it would be like the whole 2nd floor was just a master suite. My hesitation is that I don t think many people want a 2-bedroom house. Would you agree or disagree?

  • My new cat tested positive for roundworm, how to protect my other cat and myself?

I have a litter maid litterbox that cleans the litter automatically. The poop sits in a covered area off to the side. Should I clean this out? Should I replace the entire litter (which I hope I don't have to do because that kind of litter is expensive)? Do I need to spray the box with anything?

  • Just bought a car from a dealer, did I handle the transaction well or not?

I went to a dealership planning to just look, not buy, but they pushed me with their sales tactics, lowering the price over $1000 and telling me the price is only good for today, and other BS. This was a Prius with over 100,000 miles, which everyone says is nothing for a Prius, but I don't know that much about cars. I got the carfax report, and no accidents, and the maintenance history showing that it was semi well maintained. I didn't get it checked out by a mechanic or anything. I asked them if they could come down anymore on the price, and they said no, but I didn't try walking out the door or anything. I ended up buying the car for $8250. Now I'm wondering if I handled it correctly or not. If I didn't do well, what should I do differently when buying a car in the future?

  • Why is Shark Tank using descriptive video for visual impaired on broadcast signal?

I'm watching Shark Tank on a broadcast signal, and it has a narrator that is describing people's facial expressions, and events that are happening on the show. I looked it up, and found out that this is something called "Descriptive Video" for the visually impaired. Is there any way to turn this off on a broadcast signal?
