Christian couple had a party and gave spoiled food, then turn around and deny the cause. should we trust her.?

My friend invites my family and me to her potluck party. She wanted everyone to bring a dish. One of her friend says she does not have any money or food stamp to make any purchase. Therefore, she says it is ok. My friend end up cooking all the food and was very angry at that. Therefore, she guards the kitchen where the food was. We asked what happen to it and she say it is spoiled. She came up with excuses the cause of the spoiled food. However, someone say it could be the spoil chicken that she put in it. They look guilty when we tried to confront them about what they did. Should we trust her cooking, or should we eat from her she study with the Jehovah witness and still not giving her best.
