Kitty Treats?
I'm looking for ideas of a treat for my new kitten (about 4 months old).
I got him catnip and treats (Crunchy creations), but he doesn't really care for either thing.
He seems just fine eating dry food and playing with a string, but I'd like to spoil him a bit.
Any ideas on what other treats cats may like?

Some cats flat don't like treats. There are several brands at most pet supply stores (PetCo, Pet Club, PetsMart, etc).
My cats like Temptations and are not thrilled with the fish flavors but adore the dairy flavor and beef flavors.
If your cat is not food motivated then spoil it with extra play time with a kitty teaser or a laser light. Some cats like chicken. Save some and give it to your cat as a treat. I stop at the fast food El Pollo Loco where I can buy chicken legs and I pick up one or two for my cat after a vet appt or a treat. I pull the chicken off the leg (no bones!) and cut it up and it's happy chow time!

My cat LOVES the Temptation brand treats . I buy mine at Walmart but most pet stores sell them to. The trick is to find a flavor they like. Mine likes the chicken ones. There are hundreds of different treats sold at my local pet stores and I try a different one every once in a while. Just remember, treats should not replace a meal...they are usually higher in calories.

Question is: WHY do you want to spoil a perfectly good cat? Treats should ONLY be given (when training) for correct behavior. Not just because YOU think he'll be grateful or appreciative or ANYthing. That's called anthropomorphizing Look it up!!

get a wand toy and play with him, our cats love it.
A cardboard box with crunched up paper is fun for them too
Treats don't have to be food, just rotate the special toys
A laser mouse is fun too

Cats LOVE sweet almond oil! But make sure it's sweet NOT bitter, because bitter is poisonous.
