Can a finger be broken even if it doesn't bruise?
Today I was playing with the kids at work and one of the boys threw a ball at me and I tried to catch it. Whether the throw was too hard or I caught it funny but it felt like it got jammed and since then (about 10 hours ago) my finger has been swollen and hasn't been able to straighten on it's own, and if I even tap it and move the finger tip just a little it hurts like mad hell. Is it possible for a finger/knuckle to be broken without bruising?

It sounds like it may be broke, if you cannot move it there is certainly something wrong and you should go and see the doctor if you can. Until you see a doctor make a makeshift splint to prevent further damage. As its a finger its rather easy, just tape it to another finger and leave it there as the other finger is perfectly straight which is what you need for a splint. And as for bruising breaks can happen without it as bruising signifies internal bleeding but the bone may be broken without having caused internal bleeding, it could also be dislocated but I doubt it is considering what you have said.
