SO CONFUSED!!! HELP!!?
So I have a new best friend called Claire. She's very shy. I stayed at her house for a sleepover so we could watch all the pretty little liars seasons l and it was fun. But then we went to the shops today and she kept putting her arm around my shoulder.... I was and still am confused! And then she sent me a message saying miss you already with hearts and kisses..... She also always says I love you to me - is she trying to date me? Is there a way I can tell if she is a lesbian? Don't get me wrong, I support gay rights but I am happy having a boy-girl relationship... Why is she acting like this??

Perhaps it is just friend love if you know what I mean. If two friends are very close then it should be no surprise that they would say 'I love you' to each other.
By saying 'I love you' they are expressing friend love... NOT romantic love.
Actions count louder than words... but if a friend was always there for you, willing to listen, knows you inside and out, helps you get through tough times, and cares about you... really it is no surprise that they love you (in a friend kind of way).
Putting your arm around your friend's shoulder is what friends do... especially when comforting them.
However, if you feel you are getting too close to this friend too fast... tell a trusted adult.
