Is it fair that Batman isn't a superhero, but Aquaman is?

Childhood ruined..

Although both are superheroes Aquaman isn't that bad. He's like a beefed up captain America but with more power.

He has strength, insurance, telekinesis, speed, the ability to breath underwater, inhanced every thing underwater, the ability to communicate and control animals, AND he's the king of 70% of the earth.

Aquaman has potential to be bad-***, but most people just remember him from the Super-Friends, and let's face it, they were ALL lame. Think about this: he lives at pressures that can crush a submarine (so he must be pretty much invulnerable and super strong), he can see in the darkest depths of the ocean (which means he must have incredible vision), doesn't require air, and can telepathically communicate and control 50-80% of life on Earth. If you were to tweak him just slightly and give him a variation of Animal Man's powers (the ability of any underwater animal) then you've got a guy who can create shockwaves that hit like a bullet just by snapping (pistol shrimp), camouflage himself (some octopi), and has the most potent venom in the animal kingdom (the Box Jellyfish). That's pretty bad-***. Batman has a belt full of bat-themed party favors (and a can of shark-repellent), but I'd still consider him a superhero because he's brilliant and trains like a mo-fo.

If you think Aquaman is lame then stop watching the Superfriends. Read the superheroes comic book before you decide what they are really like or do you think of Adam West when you think of Batman.
