  • What is the name of the zombie film with a pacifist group?

There is a zombie film I saw once where the main character (male) takes shelter in a building occupied by a pacifist group who wants to show the zombies that they love them. Main character thinks they are crazy and tries to change their mind.

Long story short, zombies get in the building and the group goes up and is trying to hug the zombies, all the while being devoured alive.

I can't remember anything else about this movie or even what the main character looked like. I only remember he is male, and I remember this ridiculous scene. Google failed me with the little I can remember.

  • According to the 2005 Nation Electric Code, can I attach a 3-way junction box to the flooring of my attic?

I have a wiring project I did (installing flood lights) and I am trying to bring it up to code for my own peace of mind and delayed OCD.

I currently have a 3 way function in the attic, not in a junction box. Our attic flooring looks like this: insulation with plywood nailed to the rafters so you have a small space to walk.

My rough plan was to just put the connections in a junction box, and affix it to the "flooring" (plywood to stand on).

Would this violate the 2005 NEC? I don t have the code book so I am hoping someone knows the answer without me needing to buy the book.

I can affix the box to a rafter if need be, but the easier option is to affix it to the flooring. Also, if code says it needs to be on a rafter, could you please tell me minimum height it can be mounted off the floor?

    Please and thank you.

  • What "look" would you give someone who you think is being ridiculous?

If someone was adamant that all dogs were actually people wearing costumes you could say

    "I gave them a look of _______"

kind of like "I gave them a look of concern" or "I gave them a look of admiration" only I need the word to mean that I think they are being ridiculous and paranoid.

    Thanks.

  • Is there a solar powered outdoor flood light kit that uses a wireless (remote) wall switch instead of a motion sensor?

I have been searching for a solar powered flood light for my back yard that has a wireless switch, rather than the standard motion sensor/dusk to dawn sensor or the switch that is on the light itself.

I want a flood light to light up my back yard that has a switch I can mount where I want it.

I am handy with circuits and a soldering iron, so a DIY solution would be welcome too. I would like to avoid running cable if possible (other than the solar panel).

  • Why can't you order a "chicken and cheese bagel" at Chick Fil A?

My wife likes to get a "chicken and cheese bagel" for breakfast from Chick Fil A. In order to achieve this, one must order a "Chicken, egg, and cheese bagel with no egg".

Multiple trips with varying forms of the order have been placed at multiple Chick Fil As. The only order which results in a bagel containing only a piece of chicken, and a slice of cheese is an order of a "chicken, egg, and cheese bagel with no egg".

Please explain this, and why the baseline sandwich is not "chicken bagel" and then add toppings from there.

  • Are there any cat breeds that don t shed much, or are hypoallergenic? Ideally both...?

I think hairless cats are ugly, so I don t want one of those. The only one I have heard of that might fit this description is Russian Blue.

  • How do Xbox One digital pre-orders work?

The xbox website says you can download your game early before the release, but then it turns around and says it releases for download at midnight (or your time zone's equivalent to whichever they choose).

I have been to all the midnight releases for Call of Duty, and plan to get Black Ops 3 at midnight (the definition of "insanity" comes to mind, repeating the same action and expecting a different result) and I want to be able to play all that night. I might as well get an extra nap in while it downloads, since I would have to install it to my Xbox even if I bought a game disc....

Has anyone done a midnight release for a digital download on Xbox One yet? How did it go?

Batman is pretty cool, but has no superpowers. Aquaman is as lame as they come, but does have superpowers.

  • Any ideas on what is wrong with the A/C in my truck?

    2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 2-wheel drive

My A/C blows cold air for about 5-10 minutes. Then it blows warm air. It is the same temp (warm-hot) on both sides of the truck and it never cools off again. Turning the truck off for a while makes the air cold again, but it goes warm after 5-10 minutes.

I thought it might be the A/C clutch, but didn't want to just start replacing parts on a whim, and I don't really want to pay the money to have it looked at right now since it is just an inconvenience and not a safety issue.

A side note: there is a clicking noise that has been happening when I have the air on. It "revs" loudly as the engine revs. The "revving" noise stop when I turn the air off.

  • How much should a timing belt replacement cost at a Honda dealership for a 2010 Honda Accord?

Our car is in for some work where they already have the engine pulled. They said it would cost $750 to replace the timing belt (nearing 100k miles) since they already have the engine out, rather than the $1,200 if we brought it later to get it done. This seems really expensive to me.

My wife spoke with them so I haven't been able to find out whether that is just for the timing belt, or if it is also water pump/other belts too.

  • Why does a 10-amp rated extension cord work with 15-20 amp house outlets?

Here are the specs for an extension cord from Lowe's:

    100-ft 10-Amp 16-Gauge Orange Outdoor Extension Cord

    • Orange, SJTW Wire, 100' in length with durable 16 gauge wire

    • cULus listed, rated 10A/125V/1250W

    • Operates in a wide range of temperature from -40°C to +60°C

    • Oversized plugs and strain reliefs

Just by the numbers and from a physics viewpoint, it seems that this cord would burn up or have a blowout. It obviously doesn't, and runs a wide variety of electric yard tools with no problems.

    Why is this?

  • How do I dispose of large boxes?

I am new to home ownership and the processes associated. (mostly I have just been tearing parts of the house up, and then putting it back together. They call it "renovating").

When I lived in an apartment I would just take my boxes to the dumpster. I have quite a few large boxes that won't fit in my trashcan well. Can I just break these down and set them at the road? I know large items like toilets, tree clippings, fans, etc disappear from my curb (I think scavengers take them), but is it acceptable to pile a ton of boxes out there?

  • Is there somewhere I go to learn basic at-home car repair/maintenance?

Not youtube, I mean a physical place. Home Depot has mini classes on basic home reno (tile, flooring, etc.). Does anyone know of something similar for cars?

I would think Autozone or some shops might have classes on changing spark plugs, replacing brakes, changing tires, etc.

  • What tools do I need to replace my brakes?

I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500. I am replacing only the rear brakes, which are disc brake (at least that I what the mechanic told me, and also the Youtubes. I have never replaced my own brakes before so I need to buy all the tools to do it.

Here is the list I have compiled so far:

    - Jack + jack stands

    - Lug wrench (I assume these are a standard size)

    - Large allen wrench (I don't know what size)

    - C-clamp

    - Adjustable wrench

Am I missing anything, or have anything wrong? Also, if anyone knows what size allen wrench I would need that would be helpful.

  • How should a thermal expansion tank be installed?

I have seen tanks installed horizontally, I have seen tanks installed vertically, both above and below the pipes. Is there a wrong way to put these tanks in? As long as the weight of the tank is supported it seems to me that it shouldn't matter much.

  • Should I spend the money to get my water heater diagnosed or just replace it?

We bought the house in February and just last week noticed a very slow leak in our gas water heater. It isn t from any valves or pipes and appears to be coming from under the water heater. The water heater was installed in 1993.

It is pretty old and I am just wondering if it is even worth the service charge to have a plumber look at it and see if there is a cheaper fix than a new $400 water heater.

I am inclined to just replace it this weekend since it is so old and a fix might only cost $150, but we will have to deal with this again in 6 months to a year. Thoughts? Advice? Concerns?

    Thanks.

What kind of spider is this?

At first I thought it was an ant because it was the same size as a carpenter ant and a similar shape. When I tried to get it on a piece of paper it moved REALLY quickly and jumped away.
