How to set idle to 1500 temporarily for testing?

I have a 2006 Civic. The A/C service procedure requires running engine at 1500 RPM for 10 minutes with no one in car and simultaneously getting pressure readings under the hood. I assume there is a way to set it to idle at that speed for the test since manually holding it there would be impractical. Or do you just let it run at the normal idle speed (600 +/-) and ignore that part of the procedure? I feel like I am missing something simple.

You use a pedal depressor tool---or a brick

Due to emissions laws the idle speed is not user adjustable. You will need to find some way to hold the accelerator pedal down to get the correct revs or under the hood where the cable goes to the throttle valve

There's likely no cable and it would be very difficult to maintain a single rpm with a brick or pedal depressor.

This particular job is precisely the reason God gave us the apprentice.

There are such things as pedal holders that are adjustable. Hook to steering wheel.
