Is it possible to rupture your kidneys?
I was just shoved very hard into my porch banister.
I was trying to keep my fiance of one side of the porch. When I tried to block him he pushed me. When I stood back up he pushed me again , but when I tried to block him I accidentally elbowed him in the ribs. Thats when he shoved me into the banister. I hit it so hard I actually bent backwards over the banister. Now my back is hurting really bad. But I also have .Arthritis in my lower back, so I m not sure if the collision just made the arthritis flare up.

I honestly didn't know the answer this. I looked it up and the only thing I could find is that cyts can rupture in kidneys, but didn't search very thoroughly. But I felt it necessary to say... what are you doing with this awful wife beating dude? Get AWAY from him, and go to the hospital! You sound like a nice person somehow just from that brief history. You don't deserve to be beat on, no one really does.

Yes, you can rupture your kidneys. I would go to the ER if I were you.
I would also suggest you go your separate ways with your fiance. He sounds rather aggressive... and abusive. Not worth marrying, I suppose.

It is and it is even possible to have a little tiny tear as well. I did when I fell down a flight of stairs. The emergency room just put me on a monitor and watched me for 4 hours and it seemed to fix itself and I went on my way. As L N indicated if you injury your kidney you will have blood in your pee which can or can not be serious.

You can bruise your kidneys. I guess under the right circumstance you could rupture them.

could be both an arthritis flare up, or a bruised kidney. check your urine for a bit, if you see any blood in it, get to your doctor or the ER. although honestly it sounds like you really need to call the police and have him arrested. before something worse ends up happening to you.

Kidney punches are illegal in boxing because it can cause serious bleeding or destroy the kidneys.
