Great quote from George. Think about this as well.. I will keep this brief out of respect for your time. I do not, and have not, done any hallucinogenics in my life. By age 35 I was already familiar with applied "lucid dreaming". At age 42 I had a waking dream which revealed to me understanding of a subject outside of my life studies. This is not taught by any discipline I have ever heard of or studied under even to this day. Despite that fact all aspects of this point of view are proven true in modern technology. This is the general overview. ( Dream sequence out of my control after having read a story. ) Standing at ground level imaginatively observing the "War scene" of "David and Goliath" from KJV 1st Samuel 17. Some intelligence caused me to fly into the air where I saw from overhead a transformation of the Biblical desert area and characters from sand and tents and armour and people into space and the sun and the first five planets and the asteroid belts and the Galilean moons. That is... Space is where it happens. Sol is Saul. Mercury is David. Venus is Abinidab. Earth is Eliab. Mars is Shammah. The inner asteroid belt is the smaller army of Israel. The outer asteroid belt is the army of Philistine. Jupiter is The Gath Giant, Goliath. The moon Io is the brass armour of the giant. Europa is the sword of the giant. callisto is the iron spearhead of the giant. Ganymede is the shield of the giant and The storm in Jupiter (the great red eye) is the stone in the forehead of the giant. There is much more to the story as it is applied to our solar system and is potentially plausible in physics and chemistry. Please email me back. I wave all rights to any compensation. madsen.richard@gmail

No.
God cannot use his power to do something illogical.
For with you great strength abides always;
who can resist the might of your arm?
Indeed, before you the whole universe is as a grain from a balance,
or a drop of morning dew come down upon the earth.
But you have mercy on all, because you can do all things;
and you overlook the sins of men that they may repent.
(Wisdom 11:21-23)
Most Monotheists including Jews, Christians, and Muslims believe that God is omnipotent (all powerful).
God's almighty power is in no way arbitrary: "In God, power, essence, will, intellect, wisdom, and justice are all identical. Nothing therefore can be in God's power which could not be in his just will or his wise intellect." (St. Thomas Aquinas, STh I, 25, 5, ad 1)
In other words, God can do anything that is logically possible and is consistent with his other attributes.

I assume so. if there were a purpose for him to do so, if he can't/won't manipulate free will in humans and he created us then I see no reason why he would be unable to create an item in which he could not move... Then again if he is all powerful then I suppose he would have the power to move the rock if he desires.... I don't know, but a good question

Yes and no. First He is more than what our logic allows us, so by that alone He can create a rock big enough to not move it and be able to move it, i cant remember all of that argument but Descartes goes into detail about it.

God does not create things that are against his nature or are illogical.
He does not create a rock so big he cannot move it.
He does not create a square circle.

I don't think it matters. I don't know where in a religious book it really says "ALL things" and lays out the definition of omnipotence, and it's easy to resort to "above our understanding" or simply modify the definition. It's like asking if God can make a square circle or "know falsehoods to be true"

Congratulations, you are the 500th person to post this inane question. The answer is NO. If He couldn't lift it, He would not be God, therefore this question is actually asking if God can create a situation in which He is not God. NO.

why on earth would he do that? then he'd just be stuck with a flipping big rock cluttering up the place for no
good reason.

He's still working on that one....lol
