Peanuts lacking in taste?
I bought these redskin peanuts that are soft and don't have much taste. Were these put on the shelf too early or do you have to wait awhile for the taste to come around?

look on the package. I bet they are raw peanuts which are used in making things like peanut brittle. What you want is roasted peanuts which can taste completely different.

the raw peanuts never have such a strong taste as roasted but can easily be roasted if you want to use them to make peanut butter or pesto, for example. use them raw to nibble on or add to recipes like curries.

Sounds like you bought raw redskin peanuts. They are pretty tasteless. You should have purchased roasted redskin peanuts.

can't tell which variety of peanuts you may have! There are lots of different varieties and they all have different flavors! You seem to hve gotten one of the milder ones!
