Are there any Chinese dishes that I can cook for 8 people?

I expect you know that for 8 people any self-respecting Chinese cook would produce 16 dishes or more. Chicken, beef, pork ribs, pancakes, egg dishes, rice or noodles, and many kinds of veg dishes.

How about sweet and sour pork? To save time the day of your get together, cook the pork the day before.

you can cook ANY dish to serve 8 people. Pick your recipe, do the math so it makes enough portions and then cook it.

A big pot of sweet sour chicken with a pig pot of rice.

A big roast duck with peking sauce (or if duck is too expensive / unavailable, two roast chickens will also work), served with rice.

Just take a recipe and double or triple the recipe. (depending on what it says its for).

Go for stir fry in a large skillet with a lot of rice in another pot.

Pork egg rolls. Wonderful stuff. Easy to make and just fry up.
