Looking for something creative/clever to give my wife for our 6 month wedding anniversary. Nothing like candy or flowers. Something unique?

1/2 of something since anniversaries are celebrated at 1 year . You can give her the other 1/2 6 months from now .

That would be clever , creative and appropriate .

If you want to celebrate 6 months of marriage, that's fine. Just understand that the word anniversary means annual (yearly) so you cannot have a months "anniversary".

I was unaware married couples did monthly anniversaries. I'm all about dining out, so feel free to eat in honor of this 6 month mark

Do something together. Get tickets to a play, concert, or movie. Go hiking or kayaking. Take an evening cruise if that sort of thing is available where you live, or book a ride on a dinner train. Instead of a trinket that will gather dust, give her an experience you can both enjoy together.

Ok this is not clever, but I will tell you that women love things from the heart.

Personally I would rather have something my husband made or wrote himself, then anything he could buy at the store.

So I think if you could make her something. Maybe a book, entitled "Why I Married the Love of My Life". Then make it special with pages filled with great things about her. I'm telling you.. this is something she will cherish forever!

Don't start the habit of celebrating these monthly anniversaries. That's only for people who don't expect their relationship to last a year. Anniversary comes from the word annum, meaning annual or yearly.

Just tell her every day how special she is and how much you love her.

I think giving experiences as gifts is more fun and memorable than a "thing", so I'd say how about a hike then a picnic, or a fab lunch at a nice place and then a walk by the sea, or a couples massage and a nice dinner out. Something like that.

There is no such thing as a six month anniversary. The name itself implies yearly. So I would just wait until it's actually your anniversary.

Give her a dictionary and spend a romantic evening looking up the definitions of anniversary, year, and month.

maybe a bracelet with little trinkets of like her favorite things (does she like Paris?, flowers? what is it she likes?)

you could take her out for the evening and tell her to dress up - back a bag for the two of you and surprise her with a romantic dinner out of town with a hotel

you could remember where her very most favorite memory as a child - and take her there

you could remember the last time you two were shopping and she said - wow I love this - and remember - and get it for her

what you want to do is show her you care - you remember - and she is important to you - find out what is important to her and show her you know what that is and you'll be set to go
