Potentially, however much of it is unprovable. One of the problems is that the Bible was written by men, not by God. Even though they were "inspired" when they were writing the Scripture, they were still nevertheless creatures of sin. Anyone who has complete unquestioning belief in the Bible is essentially placing its writers on the same level as God, which is heretical.

2nd Kings Ch 20 describes the shadows moving backwards.

That story only holds up IF the Sun was moved across a FLAT Earth by the Chariot of the God known as to the Greeks as Apollo, or the Hand of the God known to the Hebrews as YHWH, or the Solar boat of the God known to the Egyptians as Ra.

Perhaps, at the time the story REALLY HAPPENED, the Earth was flat, and later on, God decided to make it round afterward.

And the Bible claims that, until AFTER the Flood of Noah, sunlight shining through water droplets DID not, COULD not refract into the colors of the rainbow.

So, back on Day One, when God created LIGHT, and said that it was "Good", what he "REALLY" meant was "Good ENOUGH, for NOW, but I might change the physical properties of light LATER!"

Also, people who don't BELIEVE the flood story is real, don't believe the word was FLAT back then.

If the world was flat, maybe with a bit of a low spot in the middle, it would be a lot easier to flood the whole thing.

And then God gradually ROUNDED it, by pushing the low spot UP, so all the flood water ran off the edges, leaving ONLY enough water to fill the lakes, rivers, and oceans.

Well, I know I'm spouting gibberish. BUT! If folks were NOT allowed to spout gibberish, there'd be no religions, no Religion Forum, and you wouldn't be looking at these words in this array on your screen.

The fact of the matter Yes, because God is truth, and Satan is the father of lies, Satan has been a liar from the beginning, and now look at the world, the whole world is twisted, everything that was right is now wrong, and everything that is wrong is ok in mankind eyes, it is because Satan the man of sin is ruling in all of the churches and the world, because Satan wanted to be like the most high God, so God granted Satan, his wish, to rule in all of the churches an the world until the end, Satan was bound and chained for 1000 years, but the 1000 years is up and now Satan the man of sin is loosed upon the world like a roaring lion, seeking to destroy everything that God Jesus Christ has created from the beginning of the world, because Satan knows that he only has a little season until God Jesus Christ comes back to judge the living and the dead and too destroy the heaven and the earth by fire, the second death, where the heaven and the earth shall be burned up, by the hell fires. Read Revelation 18:4 read Matthew 24:15 read 1 Peter 4:17

Thank you for asking. That is one of the most important questions there is.

The Bible says.......(2 Timothy 3:16) "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness,"

But can we take the Bible's word for it? Is it Really the word of God?

Consider.......it must be Historically accurate and scientifically accurate. Some say the account of the Sun standing still can't be accurate, but with our Creator anything is possible. And all of the circumstances must be considered.

The following link and it's related articles explain why the Bible can and should be trusted.

Have a good day and please feel free to ask more questions that I hope we can help you with.

Do you think everything that 'happened' in the Lord of the Rings is true? Same thing, just a story.

With the exception of the parables Jesus told and figurative beasts that represent a country I take the bible at its word.

When the bible says it rained 40 days and forty nights I believe it as literal.

When john said he saw a beast in his vision that's figurative.

When Jesus told of a rich man and a lazurus that wasent a real rich man and a poorman

It was a story made to make a point that they would not obey or beleive Evan if a person they had killed came back to show himself!

But Jesus did just that and he rose to heaven in full Veiw of many.

The bible is what is called "Faction” A fictional story set in a factual time and place. Thus the time, place and real historical characters are all correct but the fictional characters and stories are not!

There is not one single mention of Jesus in the entire Roman record - that is right - not one! At the same time as he was supposed to have been around there were a number of Jews claiming to be the messiah - all of whom are well recorded!

There is not a single contemporary record from any source and even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

He was supposed to have been a huge problem to the Romans and produced wonderful miracles but still not one contemporary record?

Even the bible mentions of him like all other references were not written until many years after his supposed death!

Pilate is recorded in the Roman record as a somewhat lack luster man but no mention of a Jesus, a trial or crucifixion that would surely have been used to make him look brighter!

At best he was an amalgam of those others but almost certainly never existed!

Not one word of it is contemporary with the period and was not written until several hundred years after the period the story is set in!! How did the apostles write their books more than a hundred years after they would have been dead?

Christianity is an invention of the Italians and that is why it came from the Holy ROMAN Catholic church!

Please realize that those claims for the Old historians are worthless since they were not even born until long after everyone in the stories would have been so long dead!

    Josephus AD 37 – AD 100

    Tacitus AD 56 – AD 120

    Suetonius - 69 – 130 AD

Pliny the Younger, 61 AD – 112 AD

Justin Martyr (Saint Justin) AD103–165 AD

Lucian - AD 120 -180 AD but he was hostile to Christianity and openly mocked it.

    Pamphilius AD 240-309 AD

    Eusebius AD 263 – 339 AD

    Photius AD 877 – 886 AD

Thallus - But there are no actual record of him except a fragment of writing which mentions the sack of Troy [109 BC] Showing that he was clearly not alive in biblical times.

Some even try to use Seneca. 4 BCE – 65 CE but as a Stoic Philosopher he opposed religion yet made not a single mention of a Jesus or Christianity!

Even funnier is trying to claim Celsus AD ? – 177 AD Who said that Jesus was a Jew who’se mother was a poor Jewish girl whose husband, who was a carpenter, drove her away because of her adultery with a Roman soldier named Panthera. She gave birth to an illegitimate child named Jesus. In Egypt, Jesus became learned in sorcery and upon his return presented himself as a god.

Yes the bible is historically accurate. It is God's word as shown at 2 Tim 3:16. God never lies.

Is this your way of asking: "Can the Bible really be trusted?" If we are to trust it, there should be evidence that it was written by careful, honest writers. This brings us to another reason for examining the Bible: There is solid evidence that it is accurate and trustworthy. Honest writers would record not just successes but also failures, not just strengths but also weaknesses. The Bible writers displayed such refreshing candor. Consider, for example, the forthrightness of Moses. Among the things he frankly reported were his own lack of eloquence, which in his view made him unfit to be Israel’s leader (Exodus 4:10); the serious mistake he made that prevented his entering the Promised Land (Numbers 20:9-12; 27:12-14); the deflection of his brother, Aaron, who cooperated with rebellious Israelites in making a statue of a golden calf (Exodus 32:1-6); the rebellion of his sister, Miriam, and her humiliating punishment (Numbers 12:1-3, 10); the profaneness of his nephews Nadab and Abihu (Leviticus 10:1, 2); and the repeated complaining and murmuring of God’s own people. (Exodus 14:11, 12; Numbers 14:1-10) Does not such frank, open reporting indicate a sincere concern for truth? Since the Bible writers were willing to report unfavorable information about their loved ones, their people, and even themselves, is there not good reason to trust their writings? How would you answer those question?
