There is no "end of days". Sometimes the period before Jesus returns is called the "end times", but it is the end of a Godless era and the beginning of the 1000 year rein of Christ. Before Jesus returns for about 6 months there will be very hard times. This period of hard times or the Tribulation was originally 3 years but God in His mercy shortened it to 1 and 1/2 years and then to 6 months. Jesus said that this period before He returns would be so hard "That if the times had not been shortened everyone would die." This can be found in Matthew 24. Some people who can't read say the Bible talks of a "rapture", when all of the "born again Christians will go to Heaven. Some people believe that this "rapture will happen before the Tribulation period. Some say during and some say after. Paul in one of his letters in the New Testament says after Jesus returns and after the Tribulation period people will be caught up into Heaven But this is after Jesus returns.

In simple language the 'end of days' and the 'rapture' are childish notions invented by ignorant and superstitious men.

The end days are the days of Jesus' coming ie possibly now The rapture is when the dead in Christ arise and all Christians are transformed to the new world

  • Quote from Reverend Dr. J. Vernon McGee (BA, B Div, Th.D., LL.D, TH M)

from his Thru the Bible commentary at www_ttb_org Revelation Chapter 15

"Don't tell me that the church can be purified during the great tribulation.

the purpose of the great tribulation is judgement. It's to give Satan his final opportunity.

And God is going to remove his church. Because of the fact of his marvelous infinite grace.

If you're willing to have it then you can escape and believe me it is no blessed hope looking for

    the 7 bowls of wrath!

No, we are looking for that blessed hope and that glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.

If we get in love with Him we will get our minds off of these things as being terrifying. That is,

We don't have to say: "oh I don't want to study the book of revelation It reveals all those terrible things and I'd like to keep my head in the sand like an Ostrich has more sense to do. And therefore, I'd rather not hear about it.

My friend, you're not going through it if you've trusted Christ. But you need to know what the others will have to do that might make you a zealous witness for Christ today. That's the reason we're getting the word out today.

    CONCERNING THE RAPTURE

"For the Lord Himself shall come down from heaven with commandment and with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God: and the dead who are in Christ shall rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air: and so shall we be always with the Lord. Wherefore, comfort ye one another with these words."

    THE RAPTURE, A MARRIAGE EVENT

The Rapture is part of a marriage event. For some reason, God has decided that His church will reside or have a home with Him in the city of Heaven. The church will go where He goes. The Lord Jesus referenced Himself as The Bridegroom on multiple occasions. Jesus said He would come "like a thief in the night" at a time of earthquakes and crazy weather like birth pangs, when people are still living a pleasurable life, eating drinking, marrying, giving in marriage & basically unconcerned about God. Coming at night to get the bride, unannounced was an ancient marriage way of doing things (and this is still practiced some in Israel today). The proposal was made, accepted, then the bridegroom would go away for a time to make preparations for the marriage. His father would decide when things were ready and tell his son to go get the bride. Jesus said, only the Father knew the day and the hour. The bride and bridal party had to be ready when the bridegroom came.

The Rapture of the church is clearly described in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4 and referenced in other parts of the Bible. The rapture occurs either before the tribulation begins or soon after it starts. The 7 year tribulation period begins when they sign a peace pact with Israel in Jerusalem. The rapture must come before the end of the tribulation period for it says in the Bible.. ."The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven..." Additionally, The Rapture must occur before the Tribulation Martyrs are beheaded because of Revelation chapter 20 and because the church is in heaven around the thrown of God even before John observes the tribulation martyrs in heaven. When studying this subject be aware that some point to scriptures by Old Testament saints, such as Job, saying they will remain in the dust until the end. Be aware that the Rapture of the Church does not include Old Testament Saints. The church age began in Acts chapter 2 and ends at the Rapture of the church.

THE LAST TRUMPET (OF THE LORD, THE TRUMPET OF GOD)

Concerning the Rapture, God, The Creator will make a personal appearance and be in charge of it. The Rapture will be a noisy event. A shout from the archangel and the trumpet of the Lord will blast two times. At the first blast of the trumpet of God, the dead in Christ will rise. At the last blast of The Lord's Trumpet (The Final Trump), both the dead and living will meet the Lord in the air. God (Jesus) makes a personal appearance in the air to get His Church. God will supernaturally rearrange the elements and give the dead in Christ new bodies and those that are living as well. The Dead in Christ will rise first. This also may be a noisy event if they are to shout as well. (I would). This event is clearly described in 1st Thessalonians chapter 4 in the Bible. Additionally, this trumpet is not given to angels as in the book of Revelation. This event is not a trumpet out of the book of Revelation.

JESUS is: God Himself, Jehovah, YHWH, The Creator, My Savior, Fully Deity, Fully man

Romans 10:9-13 believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. (Acts chapter 16)

In the end of days, the Earth will be roasted by a red giant sun.

The rapture is the spirits of all the meek that inherited that Earth to live on forever becoming wisps in that red giant sun.

Source(s): God didn't think his cunning plan out very well.

Can't, it has come and gone every decade for the last 2000 years and every time it is different.

The end of the world would come when it would be very very difficult to be righteous, the rapture would take place when the force of evil would be shaken up from their roots.

  • "End of days" is a "prophecy" (more like an inevitability) that references the end of life on this planet.

"The rapture" is a fantasized story, in which Christians believe that Jesus will "return" and take them off the planet to heaven, and that will happen before life on the planet ends.

Hi the Bible is a history of what happened and contained in that history are revelations. Some of these revelations are prophetic. The prophecies coincide with moral laws as well as judgement is based on behaviors. The history of the Bible contains an expanding list of promises of God and explicit prophecy about future outcomes. The end times and the rapture are not isolated as events unto themselves. To really understand it you need to integrate the total sum of all the themes and promises made in the Bible. Rev 10 says when the 7th angel had sounded its thunder the mystery of God as revealed through his servants the prophets would be finished.

The basic outline of what will happen is understanding that there is a specific 7 year period known in the new testament as the tribulation but in the old it is called by Jeremiah as the time of Jacobs trouble and in Daniel the 70th week and in Joel and elsewhere the great day of the LORD. The history of Israel is one that had a conditional covenant, that is one based on blessings for obedience and judgment for evil practices. The law predicted Israel would be destroyed and kicked out of the land for breaking the covenant and this has happened now twice. Once they were kicked out 70 years in Babylon and then from 70 AD to 1948 a long expulsion. God promised unconditionally to Abraham that that land of Canaan would be given to his heirs forever. God reaffirms this in 2n Sam 7 and in Luke that there is time that Israel will dwell safely and in peace having been delivered from their enemies and this peace was to last forever. Now this has never happened so it is either failed or still future.

The 7 year tribulation has a specific mid point where the antichrist commits what is termed the abomination of desolation. Jesus said to watch for this and to flea when you see it. It is when the antichrist puts an end to the daily sacrifices. Now Israel has not had the sacrifice since 70AD. Yet they are back and a group called the temple institute has replicated everything necessary to resume these sacrifice not performed since the destruction of the temple in 70 AD. In Hosea 3 God said this 4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, without ephod or teraphim. 5 Afterward the children of Israel shall return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days

You see Israel has gone many days without the sacrifice and now they have prepared its return. The tribulation requires the sacrifices to be up and running for the antichrist to put and end to them. Anyways i went through all of this to demonstrate that the specific themes mentioned in scripture are lining up as history is arcing through the unlikely odds of these things ever coming to pass.

The rapture has to do with a promise that we will not all die and those at the last trump will be raised and meet the Lord in the air with the dead in Christ rising 1st. The debate as to if this is pre mid or post tribulation is a long one. If you read zech 14

you see Jesus coming with his saints destroying enemies and establishing a throne. Even the geography is redefined.

In REv 20 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for afn thousand years.

You want to be sure you are in Christ and weather you have died or are one of those who are translated and meet him in the air that you are on this side of it. This is really a huge subject but the tribulation is the wrath of God and Jesus promised not to appoint us to wrath and that this day was one no one would know about so if it is at the end of the tribulation we are given the exact amount of days from the end of the sacrifices till the 2nd coming so that idea is cancelled.
