Ok you really need to talk to them. Ask them what there favorite thing is? Do they believe in God? Tell them it's not worth it...that it would affect more than just them. That's someone's child for crying out loud

find them help, therapy maybe. try talking to them or someone close to them who can maybe help them out. sometimes music helps escape the mind. don't leave alone when they're not stable.
