If my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, what makes them also bring some rakes and shovels to do my landscaping?

    If you expect people to volunteer services without you asking, you will wait forever. A milkshake is not proper payment for yardwork. The next time you serve milkshakes, ask the boys if they would be interested in making some extra money doing yardwork. Discuss what you would be willing to pay for a couple of hours work. You might also approach the parents about your request.
