If Islam is the world's fastest growing religion?

Surely the self destruction must mean it is the fastest shrinking?

The problem goes back to a dispute over who had spiritual authority over the Muslim community after the death of the prophet Muhammad in what is called the “fitna” which translates as temptation or trial and caused all the discord within Muslim community.

Shi’ite Muslims believe that authority was vested in his family; the Sunnis look to the sayings and actions of Muhammad as well as the Koran.

All the Muslim on Muslim violence is based on that split!

Over 550,000 Muslims have been slaughtered by Muslims in Syria alone with almost daily beheadings, burnings and other executions!

Isis and al Qaeda is turning Islam into a death cult that will be unacceptable in any civilised country. Whatever fighting may do it cannot save Islam from self destructing only the real Muslims can do that and there is little sign yet of Islam tackling the problem!

I think Islam is in the midst of building itself up, while making sure it never unites under one belief. It's no longer Sunni against Shiite, there are multiple factions vying for control, influence, money, power, and authority, especially in the northern Middle Eastern areas.

I noticed for years that Islam is spread through fear and slaughter. A lot of people will succumb to a religion or government if the only other option is death and starvation.

As for "fair game", Muslim governments are not ever going to see criticism as fair game. They practice something which historically has caused a whole lot of bloodshed, and that is when a religious organization demands a government bow to them. There are always people within a population who disagree with a religious point of view. So Sharia Law actually acts as a death sentence to Islam in a way. There are even Muslims who are against that form of governmental control of its population.

It's already the most criticised and hated religion in the world.

Islam, just like any other idea, is fair game regardless of how many people agree with it.

all absurd belief is not only fair game to be criticized but all rational people should consider it a moral obligation to do so
