Kitten vaccination/spaying questions?

My female kitten (she's 3 months) got half of her vaccinations yesterday. She got a pyrantel pamoate dosage, which is basically for deworming because the vet said that every kitten is born with worms. She said that there will be worms in my kittens litter box and to not be alarmed. So far there hasn't been any worms or anything, does the medication take time to work or does my kittens not have worms? Also, when should I get her spayed?? I have been informed to get her spayed before her first heat cycle (which means before she turns 6 months), but wouldn't that be too early? Thank you, sorry I'm a little overwhelmed with all the kitten health-thing!

In UK we spay at around 6 months. They are older enough then.

No, 6 months is not too early, five months would be better, before she goes into her first "heat"

If you don't see worms, no big deal. I didn't see any in my kitten's stool after the deworming either, and he was just fine.

Also, with spaying, you could get it done now if you wanted to, but generally, 4-6 months is a good time. Many people believe the myths of spaying later makes for a better-behaved cat and they will be calmer, but that's all those are: MYTHS. It doesn't matter when you get them fixed, all that matters is you get it done before they impregnate or get pregnant, and with females, yes, before the first heat cycle is a very good idea. I got my little boy spayed at 5 months, as he was showing signs of wanting to mate; yowling, trying to get outside, little bit of aggression, etc.

She may not have worms if the mother was treated for them. 6 months is about the right age to get your kitten spayed.
