Can seized calipers cause a popping noise?
If in just driving straight, and i brake to a stop, the moment i start accelerating again I hear a single POP noise. Then i can brake to a stop again, and start moving forward and there will be another POP noise when just going straight. It seems to only happen if i brake hard to a stop, if i just ease into the brakes until my car stops i dont hear the POP noise when i get moving again.
If i rebuild the calipers and install new rotors, do you think it would make a difference? Im not sure if caliper pistons could be making a popping noise. I think mine might be seized though because it is pretty much impossible to push them back in.

If the caliper slide pins or the anti-rattle clips are corroded, the caliper can make a popping sound. It's almost always corroded pins and clips. The caliper piston pushes the pads against the rotor using hydraulic pressure. But when you take your foot off the brake, it's the square cut O ring inside the caliper bore that retracts the pads. Corrosion prevents the caliper from releasing so you get a popping sound as the rotors break the bond between the pads and the rotor face.

Best to pull the affected wheel and see what's really sticking or shifting.
It may not be the caliper, could be a ball joint.
Might help a bit if we knew what kind of car.

The brake pads may be shifting in the caliper brackets. Make sure the hardware is tensioning the brake pads.
