I've started 3 different careers. What should I do now?

You could try many jobs before you find one that you are pleased with.

You have ventured on a couple of jobs. I would not consider what you have done so far in your life as careers. Careers are developed over a period of time.

Starting a job and quitting after a few stabs does not make it a career.

You need to take a look at what you are would like to do as a career and take the steps to stick with this until you are successful.

You would have to know your strengths and what you are good at.

It might be that you find a job that would pay your every day expenses while you chase your dream of becoming a writer or artist.

Even though you might be working at a job, you would want to keep your eye on your eventual long term goals. Your job is to keep you from being homeless and provide the necessities of life until you have found sucess in what you rally want to do.

I don't believe that getting a degree is necessarily the answer. College is costly and takes time to complete. If your financial situation is not the best, then college will not help you (most graduates are competing for the same kinds of jobs you have apparently already had).

For now, just stick with what pays and, in the meantime, join a few clubs or get into some freelance work to see what really grabs your attention.

The last two don't surprise me that you haven't made any money. Most people don't. Retail is hardly a high income career but at least it can be a steady paycheck.

Art is a hobby.

Writing is only a job if you have published nearly 100 books, or you write for a newspaper. Otherwise, that's also a hobby.

The only career you actually have is retail. That's your only job. You have one job and two hobbies.

What you do is make sure your two hobbies don't get in the way of your retail job.

You also get a second career (fast food), to supplement the retail career.

Pick the career which you like the most and find relevant jobs that can pay you more. Don't spoil your career by constantly switching your fields.

Art and Writing aren't "careers" unless you are earning a steady income. Retail is only a "career" unless there is a rank you're moving up, if not, it's a job. Looks to me like you have two hobbies and low-rate job. I would suggest getting a degree.

Well, since you're a 3 time loser (3 strikes and you're out) the only option you have left is to kill yourself.

You have two hobbies and one job, none are careers. Find a temp services / staffing company and apply to change your direction in a positive way, and increase your earnings potential.

I think you should stick with retail. The steady pay cheque will enable you to keep producing art and writing.
