What is the technique to remove the transmission mount from the bracket connected to the body of the car?
I've got all but 1 bolt off, and i cant take that bolt out since the bracket is in the way and it won't unscrew any more. You know how theres a metal tube in the transmission mount that there bolt goes through? Yeah this metal tube seems to be stuck in place within the brackets and Im not sure how to get it out?
Would it be safe to pry on the bracket itself and bend it outwards to try to remove the mount? Or is there an easier way to do this. i am touching 1 of the 2 brackets im talking about with a pry bar. The metal tube for the transmission mount is snug inside of each one, and I'm not sure if bending the bracket is the proper way to take this out.

If you would identify the make and model, someone might be able to look up the recommended method to remove the bracket. Maybe you could use a pry bar or a jack to take the weight off the bracket, if that would help. Or you could post a photo.

Jack the motor up after removing the bolt that holds the bracket to the mount. Then remove the bolts that hold the mount to the body and slide the mount out. I'm wondering WTF you're even messing with the mount for.

DO NOT bend the bracket!
You need to drop the engine/transmission far enough to access and remove the last bolt.

Hi what you are attempting is potentially very dangerous as the engine is coming down on it. this needs to be on a ramp and having the engine jacked up as well. so this could be a life threatening situation. why not leave it to the expert.
