I used to be into a lot of prescription drugs, have I done permenant damage?

it started a year ago. I would take zolpidem and moved onto lorazepam and Xanax - I know these all fall into the same category?

I am on 10mg a day and my memory isn't great. The Xanax doesn't do much anymore. I'm wondering if I stop will I fully recover?

Memory loss is the only really side effect ive had

Update:

I am also 24 year of age, very active (mentally and physically) but I do like the recreational stuff

Yes, you'll fully recover. Those drugs, especially the lorazapam and Xanax reduce memory (that's how they help calm a person), but also anxiety (for which those drugs are prescribed) reduces memory. You might want to talk to your doctor on being on something like Prozac or Celexa, which are nonaddictive drugs that won't give you a buzz, but might help you relax a little.
