How to get a job?
I just finished my AA degree at a community college and I transferred to a 4 year university. 2 weeks before the semester started I talked with the internship office and they gave me tips and I refined my resume. I applied to about 10 different companies for a paid finance internship 2 weeks ago but I still have no response from any.
I have only worked for McDonald s for 7 years but I want to get started in finance because that is what my business degree is in. I am thinking about starting to work at a bank at a low level, like a teller and work my way up as I graduate. Would it be acceptable to just walk into a bank with my resume and introduce myself to the manager? And would anyone have any tips about getting started in the position I m in.
I would Like to get a paid internship or job because I need money, I am barely getting by right now and school is expensive.
Any tips and suggestions?

Paid internships are often for graduates. But there are jobs which may well relate with your current major and will not require a degree yet such as in sales, retail, marketing and in offices (clerk etc).

this bit about a paid internship may be the issue...perhaps companies don't provide that anymore ??

Two weeks is a short time to hear back, but you'll be a much more attractive intern candidate When you only have a year or less left until you have your bachelors degree.
