If I am able to get a copy of my 2016 tax refund transcript does that mean my return has been processed?

    No it doesn't. It means that you are of the people holding up the system for those of us professionals who have a real need

    yes but it is very unlikely you will be able to get a transcript much before June

    While it does mean that the RETURN has been processed, it does NOT mean that your REFUND has been approved. Two very separate matters.

    No.

    There is no truth to the urban legend that relates to ordering transcripts and the timing of refunds.
